The Highlands Hospital Diabetes Center is an American Diabetes Association (ADA) approved program, and also a member
of the Pittsburgh Regional Initiative for Diabetes Education (PRIDE). The center is located at 1064 Morrell Avenue, Connellsville, Pennsylvania.
We offer a comprehensive approach to diabetes education, including ongoing management and treatment support. Bridgette A. Lowry, RN, BSN, CDE is the Director of the Diabetes Center and is staffed with a dietitian, both of whom are certified Diabetes Educators focusing exclusively on teaching and caring for people with amoxil antibiotic diabetes. Many diabetes-related services are available through the Center.
One-on-one Education
A patient’s initial visit will be a one-on-one meeting with the diabetes educator. All patients are treated according to their own specific needs through a comprehensive assessment. If applicable, patients are then referred to group classes held at the Center. All patients are encouraged to bring a support person to sessions.
