John S. Andursky, MBA, CPA, is the Chief Executive Officer/President of Highlands Hospital. He has been employed in hospital finance for more than 20 years. Duties include oversight of hospital operations and finances, physician recruitment, fund raising, research, and employee relations. He is also responsible for accounting and payroll functions, materials management, revenue cycle including health information management, case management, and information technology. He graduated with an MBA and a BS degree in Accounting from the California University of PA.
Professional organizations include membership in the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of HFMA (Healthcare Financial Management Association), Finance Committee Member of the Healthcare Council of Western Pennsylvania, and a member of the AICPA and PICPA. He is certified in Integrative Health Administration through AIHM (Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine). He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.
Other organizations and activities include President and Board member of the Glass Cap Federal Credit Union, member of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, and member and former President of the Rotary Club of Connellsville.
Denise L. McCloy, MT (ASCP) SH is the Chief Administrative Officer of Highlands Hospital. Duties include oversight of performance improvement, national quality measures, risk management, patient safety, medical staff services, the clinical laboratory, imaging services, cardiopulmonary services and pharmacy services. Denise has worked at Highlands Hospital in a variety of roles since 1989.
She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology and went on to become certified as a Specialist in Hematology. Denise has worked in the clinical laboratory as Laboratory Manager, worked in the Information Systems department as a Clinical Analyst, and served as Director of Diagnostic Services. Denise additionally serves as the Risk Manager and Patient Safety Officer for Highlands Hospital.
Denise is a member of the Quality/Risk Management Forum of Healthcare Council of Western Pennsylvania, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers, and a member of the CHART Services, Inc.
Mary Jane Krosoff, MIR is the Chief Human Resources Officer of Highlands Hospital. She has been in human resources administration in healthcare settings for over 36 years and has been with Highlands Hospital since 1987. She holds two Bachelor’s degrees from California University of Pa., in both Administration & Management and Economics. She received a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from St. Francis College of Loretto, Pa. She is a member of ASHHRA (American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration) and SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management). She has served as a human resources generalist responsible for recruitment, employment, wage and benefit administration, employee performance management, and compliance with employment and benefit laws.
The Hospital has two collective bargaining units, and Mary Jane is responsible for labor relations, contract negotiation, contract interpretation, grievance resolution, and labor law compliance. She also oversees the hospital’s Employee Health service and workers compensation, and is actively involved with employee safety and risk management.
