RN- Part-time. Requires current Pa license Knowledge of nursing principles and theory of biophysical and behavioral sciences. Good interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, family, and health care team members. Must demonstrate competency through mechanisms defined by Hospital policy.
RN Staff– ICU – “Weekender” position. Requires critical care training, current ACLS, and related experience.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Casual. Requires nuclear medicine certification from either ARRT or NMTCB. Shifts may be prescheduled or on call-in basis.
Staff is currently being added due to enrollment growth.
Classroom Behavioral Therapist [CBT] – Full-time and Casual/substitute positions available. Work directly with students toward goals of their IEP, utilizing ABA principles to maximize progress. Coordinate students’ daily curricula and activities, and monitor their behavior and safety. Bachelor’s degree required in education, or similar field related to mental or physical development. Current CPSL clearances within 30 days of hire.

OTHER STAFF POSITONS
Pharmacy Tech- Casual. Requirements: Successful completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board; plus 1 year relevant pharmacy experience OR Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy experience that included IV experience OR Successful completion of 4 years toward a 6-year Pharmacy degree program, plus 1 year experience in hospital pharmacy. OR LPN with minimum 1 year of recent (within the past 2 years) nursing experience in an acute care setting; experience must include administration of medications.
– Knowledge of drug names and dosage forms and Basic typing skills, mathematical aptitude, and attention to detail
Social Worker – Casual. Medical-surgical social work. Requires BSW/MSW. Acute care hospital experience preferred.
Clerk Typist- Patient Registration - Part-time Requires 20 wpm typing and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, internet searches and e-mail. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Prefer previous experience with on-line registration system and familiarity with medical terminology.

Nursing Specialty Areas:
Behavioral Health – We provide the only inpatient behavioral health care in Fayette County, which has been a specialized service of Highlands Hospital for over 30 years! Traditional behavioral health treatment is enhanced with other healing modalities such as music therapy, guided imagery, and drum circle activities. 29 beds are located among two comfortable and attractive inpatient units. The larger unit was recently reopened after a complete renovation, which incorporates enhanced safety features for both staff and patients, improved design for patient care and activities, and many other state of the art features for modern behavioral health care.
Medical Surgical – Our Med-Surg units serve pediatric/adult/geriatric patients, and include several telemetry beds.
Emergency Department – Full-service 24/7 ED staffed with specialty qualified physicians and RNs, and containing many state-of-the art Emergency Medicine technologies.
Surgical Services – 2 Surgical Suites, Endoscopy and Procedure Room. Providing 24/7 inpatient and outpatient peri-operative and endoscopy care for adult and pediatric patients.
Short-Procedure Unit – 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. operating hours, M-F. The SPU is a six bed pre/post operative recovery area for all outpatient procedures. The unit also administers intravenous therapy and injections on an outpatient basis.
Critical Care/ICU – An adult Intensive Care Unit with Critical Care/ACLS educated RNs providing a higher level of care.
