CURRENT OPENINGS
Outpatient Services Manager
New position to manage and grow offsite physician practices and outpatient MRI center. Monitor processes at each site to assure quality patient care, staff productivity, and cost efficiency. Broad responsibility for site staffing, finances, and marketing of services. Serve as communication link, traveling regularly between hospital and the nearby outpatient sites. Requires relevant healthcare management experience with strong leadership and communication skills; related bachelors degree preferred. Must be familiar with physician practices, and also possess clinical credentials in imaging technology [CRT, CNMT, ARDMS, or ARRT]. Comprehensive salary and benefit package includes Highmark health plan, dental, group life, disability insurance and generous PTO program. Other key functions include:
- Monitor performance improvement, safety, quality and regulatory standards for each site.
- Manage the daily operations of each site, and maintain appropriate staffing and patient schedules for optimum patient care and cost efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to promote the outpatient physician and MRI services, as well as expand or enhance the services provided at the offsite facilities where feasible.
- Visit area physician offices consistently to enhance their knowledge of services provided and to address any issues or concerns.
- Monitor staff performance; develop and implement performance and productivity standards, and applicable standards for HIPAA, safety, infection control and patient service.
- Work with MRI diagnostic staff in meeting the clinical needs of physicians and hospital staff, maintaining high standards for clinical protocols and equipment safety and maintenance.
- Keep abreast of new developments in diagnostic imaging technology and make recommendations on the acquisition and implementation of new technology.
Respiratory Therapist – Part-time position. Must have completed a Respiratory Therapy program from an approved school, and certification or registration as a Respiratory Therapist (or must be registry eligible). Need experience in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and in geriatric, adult, and pediatric respiratory care. Training/experience in sleep lab, or willingness to train. Rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Medical Technologist/Technician – Full-time and Part-time positions. MT or MTL. ASCP or eligible. Must have ability to work all areas of laboratory without direct supervision. Rotating shifts, weekends, holidays.
Cardiology Technician – Casual position to provide relief coverage. Work typically involves 8-hour shifts, prn or may be prescheduled. Requires a minimum of 1 year experience gained through formal training program and/or on-the-job training and experience. Must have basic medical terminology and clerical skills.
RNs – Staff Nurses, Med-Surg. Full-Time and Part-Time.
RNs – Staff Nurses, Emergency Dept. and ICU. Full-Time.
RNs – Staff Nurse, Behavioral Health. Part-time.
PCA [Aide] – Med-Surg. Part-time.
Social Worker – Casual/relief position requires BSW/MSW.
Environmental Services (Housekeeping) – Casual position to provide relief coverage. Work typically involves 8 hour shifts, which includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requires high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical ability to perform such tasks as buffing/scrubbing floors. Must have ability to perform repetitive cleaning throughout the workday following detailed policy and procedure. Ability to lift minimum 25 lb. (up to 100 lb.)
Autism Program Positions:
Staff is currently being added due to enrollment growth.
Coordinating Teacher – Full-time. Collaborate with Center Director and other teacher to develop curricula and grow the program utilizing ABA principles and ongoing data collection and assessment. Work with students and support CBTs in implementing program curricula and students’ IEPs. Bachelor’s degree in education required, but special education preferred.
Classroom Behavioral Therapist [CBT] – Full-time [also casual/substitute position available]. Work directly with students toward goals of their IEP, utilizing ABA principles to maximize progress. Coordinate students’ daily curricula and activities, and monitor their behavior and safety. Bachelor’s degree required in education, or similar field related to mental or physical development.
Speech Therapist – Casual, licensed speech therapist for Highlands Hospital Child Development Center and autism program.

GENERAL EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION
Nursing Specialty Areas:
Medical Surgical – Our Med-Surg units serve pediatric/adult/geriatric patients, and include several telemetry beds.
Behavioral Health – We provide Behavioral Health care on two separate in-patient units . . . Reflections, our recently opened specialized unit for geriatric patients, and Tranquility, an adolescent/adult in-patient unit.
Critical Care/ICU – An adult Intensive Care Unit with Critical Care/ACLS educated RNs providing a higher level of care.
Emergency Department – Full-service 24/7 ED staffed with specialty qualified physicians and RNs, and containing many state-of-the art Emergency Medicine technologies.
Surgical Services – 2 Surgical Suites, Endoscopy and Procedure Room. Providing 24/7 inpatient and outpatient peri-operative and endoscopy care for adult and pediatric patients.
Short-Procedure Unit – 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. operating hours, M-F. The SPU is a six bed pre/post operative recovery area for all outpatient procedures. The unit also administers intravenous therapy and injections on an outpatient basis.
Nursing Scheduling Options:
Full-Time – Part-time – Casual Status
8-hour and 12-hour shifts available

- Work only 2 Weekends per month (2 12-hour shifts each weekend)
- Special pay rate in lieu of benefits
- Additional weekday work available, but not required
